§ 35-6-40. Payment of small claims against state in motor vehicle cases.

Whenever any person has sustained injury to his or her person or damage to his or her property by reason of the negligent operation by any officer or employee of the state of a motor vehicle or other motorized equipment owned by the state, the person may file a claim for the injury or damage with the director of the department in which the state officer or employee is employed.
