§ 35-3-17. Quarterly and monthly allotments.

After the annual appropriation bill or bills have been passed by the general assembly and signed by the governor, the budget officer shall determine by quarterly or monthly allotments, in accordance with seasonal requirements, the division of amounts to be expended under each appropriation. The budget officer shall make this initial determination within forty-five (45) calendar days of the signing of the annual appropriations bill by the governor. A copy of the initial determination shall be forwarded to the chairperson of the house finance committee and the chairperson of the senate finance committee.
