§ 34-45-3. Legislative purpose.

It is the purpose of this chapter to provide a mechanism which will, to the fullest extent possible:

(1)preserve the availability and affordability to low and moderate income persons and families of currently available federally insured and assisted housing in the state, and (2) avoid the involuntary displacement of tenants currently residing in federally insured and assisted housing.
