§ 31-8-2. Operation of vehicle when registration canceled, suspended, or revoked.
No person shall operate, nor shall an owner knowingly permit to be operated, upon
            any highway, a motor vehicle the registration of which has been canceled, suspended,
            or revoked. Any violation of this section is a civil violation.
