§ 31-5.2-7. Informal dispute settlement procedures.

If a manufacturer has established an informal dispute settlement procedure which complies in all respects with the provisions of 16 CFR Part 703, or which has been approved by the federal trade commission or by the attorney general of this state, the provisions of § 31-5.2-3 concerning refunds or replacement shall not apply to any consumer or lessee who has not first resorted to that manufacturer's procedure or to the procedure set forth in § 31-5.2-7.1.
