§ 31-5.1-3. Unlawful acts and practices.

(a) Unfair methods of competition, and unfair or deceptive acts or practices, as defined in this chapter, are declared to be unlawful.

(b) In construing subsection (a) of this section, the courts may be guided by the interpretations of § 45 of the Federal Trade Commission Act (15 U.S.C. § 45), as from time to time amended.

(c) The department of revenue (hereinafter in this chapter, the "department�) may make rules and regulations interpreting the provisions of subsection (a) of this section. The rules and regulations shall not be
