§ 31-47-3. Regulations authorized — Access to court and agency records.
(a) The administrator of the division of motor vehicles is authorized to promulgate reasonable
            regulations to provide effective administration and enforcement of the provisions
            of this chapter.
         
(b) Notwithstanding any contrary provisions of this or any other law of this state, the
            administrator of the division of motor vehicles, for the purpose of carrying out the
            provisions of this chapter, shall have access to the records of the family court and
            all other courts and agencies concerning motor vehicle violations of any person who

§ 31-47-3. Regulations authorized — Access to court and agency records.

(a) The administrator of the division of motor vehicles is authorized to promulgate reasonable regulations to provide effective administration and enforcement of the provisions of this chapter.

(b) Notwithstanding any contrary provisions of this or any other law of this state, the administrator of the division of motor vehicles, for the purpose of carrying out the provisions of this chapter, shall have access to the records of the family court and all other courts and agencies concerning motor vehicle violations of any person who has applied for motor vehicle liability insurance. Upon request of the insurance company to which application has been made, the administrator of the division of motor vehicles shall make available to the insurance company any information concerning motor vehicle violations of the applicant.
