§ 31-23-38. Television receivers prohibited.

(a) No television viewer, screen, or other means of visually receiving a television broadcast shall be located in the field of view of the operator of the motor vehicle. Any person who drives or causes to be driven any motor vehicle in violation of the provisions of this section shall be punished by a fine of not more than one hundred dollars ($100).

(b) This section does not prohibit the use of an electronic display used exclusively for safety or in conjunction with a vehicle navigation system.
