§ 31-22-11. Inspection of school buses.

(a) The division of motor vehicles shall inspect or cause to be inspected all school buses used for the transportation of school children as defined in § 31-1-3 at least twice throughout the year. Both of the inspections are to be done at a state certified facility on a semiannual scheduled basis. These inspections will be known as tear down inspections that will include pulling wheels at least once each year if the school bus is equipped with drum brakes and any other work deemed necessary by the state employed or state certified inspectors.
