§ 31-20-3. Stop signs at dangerous railroad crossings.
The state traffic commission and local authorities with the approval of the state
            traffic commission are authorized to designate particularly dangerous highway grade
            crossings of railroads and to erect stop signs at those crossings. When the stop signs
            are erected, the driver of any vehicle shall stop within fifty feet (50â€²) but not
            less than fifteen feet (15â€²) from the nearest rail of the railroad and shall proceed
            only upon exercising due care.
