§ 31-2-20. Registration and license information — Fee.
The division of motor vehicles, department of revenue shall, upon request, furnish
            registration and license information to the public. The division shall collect ten
            dollars ($10.00) for each request. However, if the request is made by any governmental
            agency, bureau or department, the division shall collect no fee. All nongovernmental
            inquiries must be accompanied by a written statement of purpose.
