§ 31-10-8. Special armed forces operator's license.

The administrator of the division of motor vehicles is authorized to issue a special form of motor vehicle operator's license, at no fee, to any person serving in the armed forces of the United States who at the time of his or her entrance into the armed forces was a legal resident of Rhode Island and the holder of a valid license. The special license shall be valid during the term of the person's period of service and for thirty (30) days thereafter unless sooner cancelled, suspended, or revoked for cause, and the person shall, while operating a motor vehicle upon the public highways,
