§ 30-3-2. Emergency increase.
The governor shall have power in case of war, insurrection, invasion, riot, public
            catastrophe or calamity, or imminent danger thereof, to increase the national guard
            beyond the maximum now established by law and to organize it with the proper officers,
            as the exigencies of the situation may require, if authorized by the laws of the United
            States.
