§ 24-12-50. Relationship to department of transportation.

(a) The department of transportation is hereby constituted as the agency for the authority in carrying out all of the powers to construct, acquire, operate, and maintain turnpikes and bridges as conferred by the general laws upon the authority.

(b) Nothing in chapter 13 of title 42 or in this amendment to chapter 12 of title 24 shall limit the discretions, powers, and authorities of the Rhode Island turnpike and bridge authority necessary or desirable for it to execute and carry out the covenants, agreements, duties, and liabilities assumed by it in the trust ag
