§ 2-12-19. Enforcement and prosecutions.

It is the duty of the director of the department of environmental management or his or her duly authorized representative to enforce the provisions of this chapter and chapter 11 of this title and to prosecute any person, firm or corporation who, in his or her opinion, is guilty of the violation of any of the provisions of this chapter and in all prosecutions the director or his or her authorized representative is not required to enter into any recognizance or to give surety for costs. It is the duty of the attorney general to conduct the prosecution brought by the director under the provisions of
