§ 16-90-3. Purpose.
The purpose of this chapter is to initiate a process by which the state may achieve
            the goal of collecting, maintaining, analyzing and reporting of data relating to the
            graduation rates of the students in our public high schools as an essential step in
            addressing gaps in educational achievement among our diverse student population.
