§ 16-59-9.2. Military tuition waiver.
Notwithstanding any other provision of the general or public laws to the contrary,
            an applicant who is a member of the armed forces or reserves of the United States
            and is currently stationed in Rhode Island shall be exempt from paying nonresident
            tuition at Rhode Island public universities, colleges or community colleges. The council
            on postsecondary education shall prescribe rules and regulations as may be necessary
            for the implementation of this section.
