§ 16-38-11. Termination of school exemption from taxation for noncompliance.
Whenever a school shall refuse to permit visitation, when requested, or shall refuse
            or neglect to keep the school register and to make returns as required by law, its
            exemption from taxation shall thereafter cease and be determined; and the board of
            regents for elementary and secondary education or the superintendent of schools shall
            notify the assessors of taxes in the town or city where the school may be located
            of the refusal or neglect.
