§ 16-2-6. Chairperson and clerk of city or town committee.
The school committee of each city or town shall choose a chairperson and clerk, either
            of whom may sign any orders or official papers, and may be removed at the pleasure
            of the committee. The clerk, under the direction of the committee, shall keep a journal
            of the proceedings of the committee.
