§ 16-2-21.3. Meetings with city and town councils.

For the purposes of §§ 16-2-21 and 16-2-21.2, the term "town or city councilâ€� means the town or city council or other elected body charged by either local charter or public law with either preparing the budget for submission to town meeting or for final adoption of the budget. Meetings between the town or city council, as defined, and the school committee shall be held under the provision of law governing the meetings of the council. The school committee of a regional school district shall meet independently with the council of each town or city within the regional school district.
