§ 16-2-12. Joint superintendent employed by two or more cities or towns.
The school committee of two (2) or more cities or towns, in which the aggregate number
            of schools shall not be more than sixty (60), may by vote unite for the purpose of
            the employment of a superintendent of the schools of the several cities or towns.
