§ 11-9-13.24. Compliance inspections for the underage sale of kratom and/or kratom products. [Effective April 1, 2026.]

The department of health and the department of behavioral healthcare, developmental disabilities and hospitals (BHDDH) shall have the authority to:

(1) Investigate with other state and local officials any violations of this chapter.

(2) Utilize unannounced statewide compliance checks of kratom product sales. BHDDH nor any person who has not yet attained twenty one (21) years of age shall not be liable for any criminal or civil statute that prohibits the sa
