§ 11-47-26. Penalties for violations.

Unless otherwise specified, any violation of any provision of this chapter shall be punished by a fine of not more than one thousand dollars ($1,000), or imprisonment for not more than five (5) years, or both; provided, that a violation of any of the provisions of §§ 11-47-1 — 11-47-34 with relation to air rifle, air pistol, "blank gun,â€� "BB gun,â€� or other instrument other than a machine gun, shotgun, rifle, or pistol, from which steel or other metal projectiles are propelled, shall for the first offense be punished by a fine of not more than fifty dollars ($50.00) and for the second or any subsequent offens
