§ 11-44-7. Misappropriation of vehicle, boat, or animal.

Every person who shall willfully, mischievously, or without right, take, drive, ride, or use any carriage, wagon, or other vehicle other than a motor vehicle, or any boat, or any horse, ox, or cow, or milk any cow, the property of another, without the consent of the owner or of the person having the lawful custody of the property, shall be punished by a fine of not more than one thousand dollars ($1,000), or by imprisonment for not more than one year, or both; provided that nothing contained in this section shall be construed to apply to any case where property is taken with the intent to
