§ 11-37-8.6. Special assessment — Payment for treatment or counseling.
In addition to all other statutory costs and assessments, every person, adjudged guilty
            of the provisions of § 11-37-8.1 or 11-37-8.3, whether by trial, plea of guilty or plea of nolo contendere, shall pay a special
            assessment of one hundred dollars ($100). In addition to any other penalty provided
            by law, any person convicted under §§ 11-37-8.1 — 11-37-8.3 may be required, as part of the sentence imposed by the court, to pay the cost of
            any necessary medical, psychological, or psychiatric treatment of the child resulting
            from the act or acts for which the defendant is convicted.
