§ 11-18-2. False information to registrar of vital statistics.
Every person who shall knowingly furnish or cause to be furnished to the registrar
            of vital statistics of any city or town false information concerning any birth, marriage,
            death and/or divorce shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall
            be fined not exceeding five hundred dollars ($500), or imprisoned not exceeding one
            year, or both.
