§ 11-17-7. Forgery or counterfeiting of coins.
Every person who shall forge or counterfeit any coin in imitation or similitude of
            any gold or silver coin current within this state by law or usage shall be imprisoned
            not exceeding ten (10) years nor less than two (2) years.
