Text
(a)General rule.--Notice of the election shall be given in one but not more than two newspapers of general circulation in the local government unit and in the legal journal, if any, designated by the rules of court of the county in which the local government unit is located for the publication of legal notices and advertisements. If only newspaper publication is done, the notice shall be published three times at intervals of not less than three days, but, if published in a weekly newspaper and in the legal journal, it shall be published only twice, once a week for two successive weeks.
