Any person who knowingly buys, receives, disposes of, sells, offers for sale or possesses any boat or component from which the hull identification number assigned to the boat or component identification number has been removed, defaced, covered, altered or destroyed for the purpose of concealing or misrepresenting the identity of the boat or component commits a Class A misdemeanor.
