Text
(1)Each railroad that gives notice to the United States Department of Transportation of an incident that occurs during the course of transporting hazardous materials as defined by federal regulations shall also give notice of the incident to the Director of the Oregon Department of Emergency Management.
(2)As soon as reasonably practicable, each railroad shall notify the director by telephone or similar means of communication of any derailment or fire involving or affecting hazardous material.
(3)To facilitate expedited and accurate notice to the director under this section, each train transporting hazardous materials in this state shall be equipped with at least two radio transmitter-receivers in good working order. In addition, trains over 2,000 feet in length that are transporting ha
