(1)An individual who applies for a resident insurance producer license in this state who is or was previously licensed as an insurance producer for the same lines of authority in another state is not required to complete any prelicensing education or examination. The exemption under this subsection is available only if the individual is currently licensed in the other state or if the application is received by the Director of the Department of Consumer and Business Services not later than the 90th day after the applicant’s previous license was terminated and if the other state issues a certification that, at the time of termination, the applicant was in good standing in that state or the state’s Producer Database maintained by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners, its affil
