Text
(1)An insurer transacting insurance on an Oregon home state risk under the provisions of ORS 735.400 to 735.495 may be sued upon any cause of action, arising under any policy of insurance so issued and delivered by it, in the courts for the county where the insurance producer who registered or delivered the policy resides or transacts business, by the service of summons and complaint made upon the insurance producer for the insurer.
(2)Any insurance producer served with summons and complaint in any such cause shall forthwith mail the summons and complaint, or a true and complete copy thereof, by registered or certified mail with proper postage affixed and properly addressed, to the insurer being sued.
