Text

(1)The action taken by any foreign or alien insurer or other party to the proposed activity described in ORS 732.521 (1) must be authorized by the laws of the state, country or province under which it is incorporated or organized, and each foreign or alien insurer or other party must satisfy and comply with any applicable laws thereof and with the provisions of its articles of incorporation and bylaws.
(2)If a foreign or alien insurer or other party to the proposed activity is to be the acquiring, surviving, resulting or continuing insurer, it must qualify for and receive a certificate of authority to transact insurance in this state.
