(1)All persons registered as apprentices or trainees and participating in related instruction classes conducted by a school district, community college district or education service district in accordance with the requirements of ORS 660.002 to 660.210 or section 50, title 29, United States Code as of September 13, 1975, are considered as workers of the school district, community college district or education service district subject to this chapter.
(2)A school district, community college district or education service district conducting related instruction classes shall submit a written statement to the insurer, or in the case of self-insurers, the Director of the Department of Consumer and Business Services, that includes a description of the related instruction to be given to such ap
