(1)ORS chapter 255 governs:

(a)The nomination and election of district board members of a sand control district.

(b)The conduct of sand control district elections.

(2)The electors of the district may exercise the initiative and referendum powers for a district measure as provided in ORS 255.135 to 255.205.
