(1)The bonds shall be numbered consecutively, beginning with number 1 and following in numerical order. They shall mature in the manner provided by ORS 547.660, in annual amounts of principal and interest approximately equal, in not less than five nor more than 40 years from the date of issue, as the board of supervisors may determine. They shall be negotiable in form. The bonds shall bear interest at a rate determined by the board, payable annually or semiannually on dates determined by the board. Payment of principal and interest shall be at the place designated in the bonds and coupons.
