The board of directors may then proceed to obtain releases of the lien of all outstanding bonds against the property it is proposed to sell. Release of the lien shall be in writing and acknowledged by the holders of the bonds in substantially the same manner and form as is required for a conveyance of land. However, the notary or other officer taking the acknowledgment shall include in the certificate of acknowledgment, or in another appropriate certificate, the fact that the bonds described in the instrument were exhibited to the notary or other officer by the bondholder making the acknowledgment.
