The Oregon Liquor and Cannabis Commission may adopt rules establishing the circumstances under which the commission may require a marijuana retailer that holds a license issued under ORS 475C.097 to use an age verification scanner or any other equipment used to verify a person’s age for the purpose of ensuring that the marijuana retailer does not sell marijuana items to a person under 21 years of age. Information obtained under this section may not be retained after verifying a person’s age and may not be used for any purpose other than verifying a person’s age.
