Text
(1)Upon issuance of a permit pursuant to ORS 522.115, the Director of the Department of Environmental Quality shall accept applications for such appropriate permits under air and water pollution control laws as are necessary for the drilling of a geothermal well for which the permit has been issued and shall, within 30 days, act upon such application.
(2)The director shall continue to exercise enforcement authority over a permit issued pursuant to this section; and shall have primary responsibility in carrying out the policy set forth in ORS 468A.010, 468B.015 and rules adopted pursuant to ORS 468B.030, for air and water pollution control at geothermal wells which have been unlawfully abandoned, unlawfully suspended, or completed.
