The court may, in lieu of or in addition to any disposition under this chapter, direct that an adjudicated youth be examined or treated by a physician, psychiatrist or psychologist, or receive other special care or treatment in a hospital or other suitable facility. If the court determines that mental health examination and treatment should be provided by services delivered through the Oregon Health Authority, the Department of Human Services shall determine the appropriate placement or services in consultation with the court, the Oregon Youth Authority and other affected agencies.
