Text
(1)A commissioned officer of the organized militia may tender resignation at any time. Such resignation will be tendered in writing through proper military channels in accordance with applicable federal and state laws and regulations. Such resignations shall take effect when properly accepted and announced in orders.
(2)A commissioned officer desiring to accept an appointment or to enlist in the active Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard or Space Force of the United States or a reserve component thereof shall first obtain a conditional release from the commander of the officer. Such conditional release shall be issued in accordance with this chapter and ORS chapters 396 and 398 and military department regulations, and shall include certification that the officer is properly
