(1)The Department of Transportation shall work together with the Travel Information Council, the Oregon Department of Emergency Management, the Department of State Police, the Secretary of State and owners of digital billboards to develop a public notification plan for the purpose of using digital billboards to display notifications to the traveling public related to civic activities and public safety. Public notifications include but are not limited to information about the Government Waste Hotline established under ORS 177.170, elections, voter registration, Amber Alerts and natural disasters and other emergencies.
