Text

(1)There is established an Oregon State Museum of Natural History whose activities shall include, but not be limited to:
(a)Extending and improving public access to the state-owned natural history collections now stored at the University of Oregon and any other items or collection of items which shall be acquired;
(b)Educating the public regarding Oregon’s natural and archaeological history; and
(c)Mounting special exhibitions from time to time.
(2)The Oregon State Museum of Natural History shall be located in the museum complex, Alton Baker Park, Eugene, Lane County, Oregon. Future plans for the museum complex are recognized to include a science museum-planetarium, the Lane County Pioneer Museum, an adequate parking area, a park setting and other facilities appropriate to a major mus
