Text
The office of State Archivist hereby is created. It shall be under the control and supervision of the Secretary of State, who shall, subject to any applicable provisions of the State Personnel Relations Law, appoint and fix the compensation of the archivist and such assistants as may be necessary. No person who has not had at least five years’ experience as an archivist shall be eligible for the office of State Archivist.
