Text
(1)A public university listed in ORS 352.002 is created to carry out public missions and services in keeping with principles of public accountability and fundamental public policy, guided by the legislative findings in ORS 350.001 and 350.005 and consistent with the goals and mission described in ORS 350.009 and 350.014.
(2)A public university listed in ORS 352.002 is an independent public body with statewide purposes and missions and without territorial boundaries. A public university shall exercise and carry out all of the powers, rights and privileges, within and outside this state, that are expressly conferred upon the public university, or that are implied by law or are incident to such powers, rights and duties.
