Text

(1)The Commission for the Blind shall maintain a program for the conservation and restoration of sight and the prevention of blindness, the objects of which shall be to inaugurate and cooperate in such measures for the prevention of blindness in Oregon as the commission may deem advisable.
(2)The commission in its discretion may arrange for and pay for the examination of the eyes of individual persons with visual impairments and may obtain and pay for medical and surgical treatment and glasses for such persons.
