Text

(1)The board of education of each community college district, in consultation with the Department of Veterans’ Affairs, shall develop standards for the community college of the district to implement to give credit for education and training obtained by a person while the person served in the Armed Forces of the United States, as defined in ORS 341.496. The community college must give credit for education and training that meets the standards adopted by the board.
(2)The board of education of a community college district, in consultation with the Department of Veterans’ Affairs, shall develop methods for informing persons who served in the Armed Forces of the United States about how credit may be received as provided by subsection (1) of this section.
