Position numbers for board members elected at-large, and their respective successors in office in the event of vacancies before the expiration of their terms, in districts changing the method of election of any of the board members shall be determined by drawing by the affected board members under the supervision of the county clerk of the principal county. As soon as possible after the drawing, the county clerk of the principal county shall furnish a certified statement to each affected board member of the position number drawn by the board member. A copy of the statement shall be filed with the county clerk of the principal county and with the administrative office of the district.
