Text
During the period following their election and prior to the date the new education service district comes into existence, the board of directors of the new education service district may take such action as is essential in order that the new district may carry out its required functions when it comes into existence, including the preparation and adoption of a budget for the new district. Expenditures of the board under this section shall be paid from the budgets of the component education service districts on a prorated basis.
