(1)Before July 15 of each year, the education service district board shall certify the amount of ad valorem property taxes as provided in ORS 310.060 and the apportionment to the county assessor. The county assessor shall extend the levy on the assessment and tax roll as the levy of the education service district board, applicable at a uniform rate or rates to all taxable property within the education service district, including joint districts in adjacent counties that are included in the district.
(2)Notwithstanding subsection (1) of this section, the education service district board shall split its total operating taxes or other ad valorem property taxes into separate portions for elementary and high school purposes where necessary in order to avoid double taxation. The portion for el
